Terms of Service
These terms cover using the Atlas application, not just this website. They are the ground rules for an agency and its staff using the product.
Atlas is operated by GOAT502 Media LLC. The commercial details for each agency, what is included and what it costs, live in a separate agreement that sits on top of these terms. Agencies that need a formal data processing agreement for their own compliance can request one.
Using Atlas
Atlas is for licensed adoption agencies and their staff to manage their own case work. Each person uses their own sign-in and keeps it secure. Agencies agree to use Atlas lawfully and only for the families and records they are authorized to handle.
Your data is yours
An agency owns the records it puts into Atlas. We claim no ownership of it, and we use it only to provide the service. You can export your data at any time, and if you ever leave, we return or delete it on request. Nothing about your agency's work is ever locked inside Atlas.
What we're responsible for
We keep Atlas running, secure, and backed up, and we handle your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We work hard to keep the service available, and we will tell you promptly if anything affects the safety of your data.
What we ask of you
Keep sign-ins private, keep your own records accurate, and let us know if you spot a problem. Do not attempt to break, copy, or resell the software itself.
Ending the service
Either side can end the arrangement per the separate agreement. When it ends, we give you a full copy of your data and then remove it from our systems, other than anything the law requires us to keep.
The legal basics
The service is provided as is. We build and run Atlas with real care, but no software can promise it will never have a bug or a moment of downtime, so we do not promise that either. What we do promise is described above: your data protected, backed up, and always yours.
Limits on liability. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to Atlas is limited to the amount the agency paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose, and neither side is liable to the other for indirect or consequential damages.
Data processing. We handle agency data only as described in the Privacy Policy and in each agency's separate agreement, which controls if the two ever differ.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still stands.
Changes. If these terms change in a way that matters, agencies on Atlas are told directly, not left to discover it on this page.
